Data Manager - Color Of Change PAC

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Data Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting campaign teams with data-driven support. They will be responsible for using data tools to guide strategies at all levels of the campaign. Data managers will support Campaign staff with day-to-day planning and strategic goals.

Color Of Change PAC helps people respond effectively to injustice in the world by ensuring that Black issues are addressed by candidates looking to win with our community’s votes. As a national, Black Super PAC we push candidates to create a more human and less hostile world for Black people.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare and analyze voter file data to support text and field campaigns
  • Provide analytical support to inform campaign staff in key primary and battleground states
  • Calculate metrics, create data visualizations and report data analysis that monitor and evaluate the performance of various campaign initiatives
  • Use a variety of tools to collect data in the field, digital, communication, and fundraising operations
  • Collaborate with team members to improve existing database structures

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • One to two years of professional analytics experience or recent college graduates with a solid technical background
  • Experience managing large-scale field experiments or political field programs, experience with VAN
  • Proficiency in SQL and relational databases
  • Experience with questionnaire and sample design, missing data/imputation, or manipulating large data sets preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in at least one statistical software such as Excel, R, STATA, or Python
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to support multiple team members with data analysis and reporting
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a group environment
  • A strong racial justice analysis, and a commitment to centering and uplifting Black joy

COMPENSATION: This is a full-time, temporary position (ending November 30, 2018) with some travel required (0-25%). Salary is commensurate with experience.
